For this reason, the air distribution hoses - also known as airsocks - must be washed every year to keep the air in the stadium clean and healthy. In cooperation with Heijmans, Vlint has successfully undertaken the washing of the airsocks.

A good indoor climate in Philips Stadium and its training complexes - for the pros, ladies and youth, among others - is crucial for the health and performance of the players. It is also indispensable for the employees and spectators who visit the stadium. A faulty ventilation system can create unwanted drafts and deteriorate air quality. This can lead to fatigue or even health problems.

To prevent this, the airsocks hanging in the stadium are washed every year. Proper and regular maintenance of airsocks is very important for the durability and energy efficiency of the air distribution system. This keeps it functional and able to purify and distribute air evenly. Heijmans launches partnership with Vlint

Andre van Meijl, project manager at Heijmans and Marcel van Dijk, account manager at Vlint, are happy to share their experience about the successful cooperation surrounding this project. "Initially, we were not looking for a new partnership to maintain the air system" says Andre."After good contact and a solid proposal, mutual trust developed that Vlint could provide the maintenance of the airsocks inexpensively, quickly and carefully." Marcel adds: "Thus Vlint with its cleaning and washing service  already helps several organizations within industry and utilities with the sustainable and effective heating, humidifying and cooling of spaces."

Various rooms in the Philips Stadium are fitted with airsocks, which Vlint was commissioned by Heijmans to wash.

Complete care in cleaning airsocks

To ensure proper air quality, an air system must be cleaned every year."On this project, that meant cleaning the air distribution hoses in the restaurant, executive offices and various training complexes," Andre said. Vlint disassembled, washed and reassembled 20 to 25 airsocks within just a few days. In the process, Heijmans was completely taken care of and the accessibility of the rooms was taken into account. Marcel indicates that meetings, training sessions and other appointments had to be planned around. "The accessibility and planning were the biggest challenge."

Upon disassembly, the airsocks were carefully airtight packed for transport to Vlint's laundry in Harderwijk. Here the airsocks were washed, repacked and then transferred back to Eindhoven. The storage service was not used on this project, Marcel says. "For projects where disassembly, washing and assembly take more time, it is also possible to store the airsocks in specially designed containers on location at Vlint."

The project at the Philips Stadium was successful: within a week, the airsocks in various rooms were cleaned. Andre from Heijmans is very satisfied with the quick turnaround time and the cooperation with Marcel and Vlint.
